Associate Attorney

The Law Office of John Redmann is a rapidly growing personal injury law firm based in Metairie, LA. We handle personal injury matters ranging from car accidents to wrongful death to traumatic brain injuries. Our firm is currently seeking a top-quality and experienced litigation attorney to join our team!
The ideal candidate will be experienced in proactively moving cases forward, demonstrated experience in all aspects of case management, including depositions, motions practice, trial preparation and jury trials. You must have excellent communication skills and be energetic, detail oriented, and enjoy working with a team. The ideal candidate must be organized and efficient and able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks based on urgency.

This position requires drafting motions, interviewing, and preparing witnesses, deposing fact and expert witnesses, and handling discovery, mediations, oral arguments, and trials. Prior jury trial and deposition experience is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Analyze and work on assigned cases
  • Regularly communicate and advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Represent clients in Court or before government agencies
  • Interviewing and preparing witnesses
  • Deposing fact and expert witnesses
  • Mediations
  • Oral Arguments
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as drafting motions
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral argument and written skills
  • Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity
  • Other job duties as assigned

License/Certification:

  • Candidate must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Louisiana (Required)
  • Louisiana Bar License (Required)

Experience:

  • Personal Injury Law: 3+ years (Preferred)
  • Jury Trial and Deposition experience a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus
  • Moot Court and/or Law Review a plus
